UPON VISUAL INSPECTION, FOUND LARGE RODENT NEST UNDER INTAKE MANIFOLD PLENUM COVER. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, NOTICED RODENTS HAD CHEWED THROUGH TRANSMISSION ELECTRICAL HARNESS TO CONTROL MODULE ABOVE BELLHOUSING. RECOMMEND REPAIR TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE HARNESS AND RE-CHECK. MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED DUE TO COMMUNICATION LOSS BETWEEN MODULES TECHNICIAN FOUND – FIVE WIRES CHEWED AND DAMAGED BY RODENTS UPON ARRIVAL OF THE VEHICLE – RECOMMEND REPAIRING DAMAGED WIRES – CLIENT ADVISED – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPAIR ON TUESDAY 12/1/20 AT 8:30AM TECHNICIAN FOUND IN GENERAL INSPECTION ENGINE OIL COOLER GASKET LEAKING – RECOMMEND REPLACING ENGINE OIL GASKET ALONG WITH OIL CHANGE – CLIENT ADVISED – CLIENT APPROVED REPAIR ON TUESDAY 12/1/20 RECOMMEND REPLACING ENGINE AIR FILTER – CLIENT ADVISED – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE AIR FILTER ON TUESDAY 12/1/20 AT 8:30AM CLIENT DECLINED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SPARK PLUGS AT THIS TIME REPAIRED DAMAGED HARNESS TO TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, CLEARED CODES AND ROAD TESTED VEHICLE.   • REMOVE AND REPLACE BATTERY – CLEAN TERMINALS AND SECURE BATTERY IN VEHICLE
  • Remove surface charge. Test battery cranking capacity, starter cranking amperage, and alternator output at idle and 2000 RPM. Check battery terminals. Inspect belt for wear and proper adjustment. This tests for current condition of the electrical system, intermittent problems may appear. Print out test. *CLIENT IS ADVISED THAT A BATTERY THAT IS FAILING A TEST AND HAS WARRANTY COVERAGE, MUST BE CHARGED FOR A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS AND THEN RE – TESTED BEFORE ANY WARRANTY COVERAGE CAN BE APPLIED* BOTH BATTERIES WERE REPLACED MAIN BATTERY TESTED AT 271CCA SECONDARY BATTERY 572 RATED AT 730CCA.
