RECOMMEND REPLACE AND FILL COOLING SYSTEM.**** REPLACED EGR COOLANT BYPASS HOSE AND PIPE ASSEMBLY, SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES, OIL PRESSURE SWITCH AND CLEANED ENGINE. ADDED UV DYE FOR FUTURE LEAK DETECTION. RECOMMEND CUSTOMER TO RETURN IN 200 MILES TO INSPECT FOR LEAKS. ROAD TESTED VEHICLE. ALL OK AT THIS TIME

SCANNED VEHICLE FOR CODES AND FOUND : P1A10-FF HYBRID BATTERY CONTROL MODULE-BATTERY DISABLED P0A7D-60 HYBRID BATTERY PACK STATE OF CHARGE LOW. WITH SCAN TOOL, ACCESSED BATTERY CONTROL MODULE AND MONITORED LIVE DATA. FOUND HYBRID BATTERY PACK AT 28%. IF HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REACHES BELOW 30%, VEHICLE WILL NOT START AND HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY WILL DISABLE TO PROTECT ITSELF. TESTED 12V BATTERY AND FOUND BATTERY TO BE DRAINED. CHARGED 12V BATTERY AND PERFORMED HYBRID BATTERY JUMP START PROCEDURE. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, WAS ABLE TO RAISE BATTERY STATE OF CHARGE TO 31% AND START ENGINE. ROAD TESTED VEHICLE WHILE MONITORING SOC AND FOUND APPROX 50-52%. NEED MORE INFORMATION FROM CUSTOMER. DID VEHICLE SIT FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME? IS VEHICLE USED FOR SHORT TRIPS? WAS BATTERY DRAINED DUE TO KEY LEFT ON OR ACCESSORY? DURING FURTHER DIAG, FOUND IGNITION SWITCH TO INTERMITTENTLY SHOW ON OR START POSITION INDICATED WITH KEY IN ACC OR OFF. THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED ELECTRICAL DRAIN DUE TO CONTROL MODULES STAYING POWERED UP WITH KEY OFF. ****NEED TO REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH (ELECTRICAL PART) AND RE-CHECK**** – CLIENT ADVISED THAT IGNITION STARTER SWITCH IS RECOMMENDED TO BE REPLACED AS FIRST STEP – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE IGNITION STARTER SWITCH ON WEDNESDAY 9/8/21 OVER THE PHONE AT 4:05PM REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH, CLEARED ALL CODES AND ROAD TESTED WHILE MONITORING LIVE DATA. VEHICLE NOW STARTS EVERY TIME. HYBRID BATTERY WILL NOW MAINTAIN 50-56% STATE OF CHARGE. ALL OK AT THIS TIME. NO CODES RETURNED.
