SCANNED VEHICLE FOR CODES AND FOUND : P0299-TURBO UNDERBOOST VISUALLY INSPECTED TURBO AND FOUND NO OBVIOUS FAULTS. MANUALLY PRESSURE AND VACUUM TO WASTEGATE AND FOUND LINKAGE TO NOT MOVE. DISCONNECTED WASTEGATE LINKAGE AND FOUND WASTEGATE SHAFT FROZEN IN TURBO HOUSING. RECOMMEND REPLACE TURBO ASSEMBLY. – CLIENT ADVISED AND CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR AND THE SERPENTINE BELT AND TENSIONER – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TURBOCHARGER, SERPENTINE BELT. TENSIONER, CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR, AND MOUNTING KIT ALONG WITH OIL CHANGE AND COOLANT ON MONDAY 8/9/21 AT 3:30PM OVER THE PHONE REPLACED TURBOCHARGER ASSEMBLY, CLEARED CODES AND ROAD TESTED VEHICLE. ALL OK AT THIS TIME, NO CODES RETURNED.

  • DUE TO CODE RELATING TO UNDER BOOST WITH THE TURBOCHARGER AND THE WASTEGATE SHAFT THAT WAS FOUND TO BE FROZEN WITHIN THE TURBOCHARGER HOUSING, CLIENT ADVISED THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE TURBOCHARGER – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE TURBOCHARGER – FOLLOWING REPLACEMENT OF THE TURBOCHARGER, THERE ARE NO LONGER UNDER BOOST CODES PRESENT IN THE SYSTEM AND THE NEW TURBOCHARGER IS OPERATING AS PROPERLY DESIGNED – CLIENT ADVISED
  • Remove and Replace Motor Oil and Oil Filter, Lube Chassis where applicable, Check tire pressure and all Fluid Levels

  • PUT LUBE STICKER IN DOOR / RESET MAINTENANCE SYSTEM

  • A/C COMPRESSOR DRIVE BELT – Remove & Replace – [Includes: R&I Fender Liner. Includes: R&I Engine Mount.] – [Includes: Serpentine and V-Belt type Belt(s).]
  • DRIVE BELT TENSIONER – Remove & Replace – [Includes: R&I Fender Liner. Includes: R&I Engine Mount.] – [Includes: Replace Belt (if necessary).]
  • TECHNICIAN FOUND THE CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR TO BE LEAKING ONTO THE SERPENTINE BELT AND BELT TENSIONER CAUSING NOISE – CLIENT ADVISED THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR DUE TO LEAKS FOUND AND REPLACE THE SERPENTINE BELT THAT WAS FOUND TO HAVE FLUID LEAKS ON IT ALONG WITH THE TENSIONER THAT WAS MAKING NOISE – CLIENT ADVISED AND CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE SERPENTINE BELT AND THE BELT TENSIONER – FOLLOWING REPAIRS, CLIENT ADVISED THAT CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR IS NO LONGER LEAKING AND THE BELT TENSIONER AND SERPENTINE BELT ARE NO LONGER MAKING NOISE
