TEMPORARILY SECURED SENSOR TO BOOST PIPE AND STARTED ENGINE. ENGINE RAN SMOOTH. SCANNED VEHICLE FOR OTHER CODES AND FOUND P00B7. CHECKED COOLANT LEVEL AND NOTICED THERE WAS NO COOLANT COMING FROM THE RETURN LINE. MOST LIKELY NEEDS A WATER PUMP. MORE DIAG TIME NEEDED TO REMOVE AND INSPECT WATER PUMP. CODES FOUND: P00B7 P0101 P0299 P0506 CLIENT ADVISED THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE BOOST PIPE AND FURTHER INSPECT THE WATER PUMP TO DETERMINE IF WATER PUMP IS RECOMMENDED TO BE REPLACED – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BOOST PIPE AT THIS TIME ONLY ON WEDNESDAY 4/21/21 CLIENT APPROVED THE REMOVAL AND INSPECTION OF THE WATER PUMP ON THURSDAY 4/22/21 AT 11:40AM OVER THE PHONE WHILE PERFORMING REPAIRS, NOTICED COOLANT LEAK. PRESSURE TESTED SYSTEM AND FOUND THE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE HAD A MAJOR LEAK. PERFORMED BLOCK TEST AND DID NOT FIND ANY TRACES OF HYDROCARBONS IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. WAS ABLE TO SEE FLOW FROM THE WATER PUMP AT THIS TIME. RECOMMEND REPLACING COOLANT OUTLET PIPE AND RECHECK. DO NOT RECOMMEND REMOVING AND INSPECTING WATER PUMP AT THIS TIME. IF LOW COOLANT FLOW CODES PERSIST, WATER PUMP INSPECTION IS RECOMMENDED. CLIENT APPROVED THE REMOVAL OF THE WATER PUMP TO INSPECT THE INTERNAL COMPONENTS AND DETERMINE WHY THE LOW COOLANT PRESSURE CODE PULLED IN THE SYSTEM – TECHNICIAN DETERMINE THE WATER PUMP LOOKS NORMAL AT THIS TIME BUT THE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE IS LEAKING SIGNIFICANTLY ON THE VEHICLE – CLIENT ADVISED THAT IT IS RECOMMENDED TO REPLACE THE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE TO RESOLVE LOW COOLANT PRESSURE CODE IN THE SYSTEM – CLIENT ADVISED AND CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE ON THURSDAY 4/22/21 AT 1:40PM OVER THE PHONE

  • WATER PUMP IS NOT HOLDING PRESSURE – CLIENT ADVISED THAT THE WATER PUMP MAY NEED REPLACEMENT THERE IS ALSO A CODE PRESENT FOR THE BOOST PIPE IN THE VEHICLE – TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED REPLACING BOOST PIPE – CLIENT ADVISED AND CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE INTAKE OR BOOST PIPE…. AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION TECH FOUND INTAKE BOOSTER PIPE LEAKING CAUSING NO PRESSURE TO BUILD UP IN COOLING SYSTEM…AFTER REPLACING THE INTAKE BOOSTER PIPE COOLING SYSTEM NOW WORKS AS DESIGNED CLIENT ADVISED THAT THE VALVE COVER GASKET IS LEAKING – CLIENT ADVISED TO ALL RECOMMENDED REPAIRS AND SERVICES – CLIENT APPROVED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE INTAKE PIPE AND THE COOLANT OUTLET PIPE THAT WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING COOLANT…WATER PUMP SEEMS GOOD AT THIS TIME VALVE COVER GASKET WAS FOUND TO BE LEAKING AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY
